Project «Our small act of kindness» received the award at EUROBAK!

Grant Thornton in Kazakhstan was named the winner in the category «Support children» with the project «Our small act of kindness» at the award ceremony of social and corporate projects, organized by the European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK).

The award was handed out to Zhanbota Bekenov, Co-Managing Partner by event organizers. It is to be recalled that Grant Thornton Kazakhstan along with other Grant Thornton firms in 130 countries around the world held an annual Charity activity . Once again we aimed at supporting children with severe illnesses at the Hospital №2 in Almaty.

The main purpose of the event is to recognize the active social position of the members of the Association. Since the launch of the project, about 100 companies have taken part in it with more than 120 projects. This year, applications for participation were submitted by 30 companies, among which was Grant Thornton.

Awards were handed out for five categories, among which were also selected the most interesting projects.

Julie Kussidi, executive director of EUROBAK about the project: «Strict selection criteria included such factors as: the implementation of the project without the involvement of public authorities; the absence of a pronounced advertising services and goods of the company; time spent on the project; the number of people involved in the project; and most importantly - the number of people on whom the project influenced on or changed their lives for the better».
